Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a happy and wonderful Halloween and got lots of candy.  As usual I made some goodie bags for all of our trick-or-treaters. And by all, I mean our 4 trick-or-treaters, LOL.  We don't get a lot, (I think the most we ever had was about 15) so I tend to do a little bit more for them.  HERE is my post for the bags I made last year and then HERE is my post for the bags I did in 2010.  I saw these cute muslin bags on Etsy (MuslinBags) and immediately my mind started thinking of what I could do to make them even cuter, hee-hee.  I had embroidered on bags the prior 2 years and have to admit I was thinking of doing it again this year with the muslin bags.  However, with me being sick for the past 2-1/2 months, I was not up to all the work with the embroidering that was necessary.  I needed something simple....stamping would be simple! And I like simple!!!
Originally I was thinking I would make 24 bags, but when I started coloring them....well let's say I decided to go with only 12 (I made 24 last year, and I think we had only had 10 treaters...so I felt safe with 12). I bought some Halloween activity pads, some halloween stuffed animals (bats and pumpkins), 24ct crayons (got them real cheap, bought them during the back to school sale, 25¢ each) and then of course some candy.
For the bags, I used some adorable stamps from Penny Black, Batty and Magical Meg. The bags are very simple to do. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored them with Copics.  You can't color them like you do on paper, coloring on fabric does bleed a lot more. One thing that might help with the bleeding:  I always put a paper towel under the cloth so that it can help absorb some of the ink. Once I had finished with the coloring, I heat set them by using my iron.  See I told you they are very simple.
And here they are all:
Oh yeah, almost forgot....I added a little tag to each (they just seemed naked without it).  I used a PTI tag die, PTI Mr. Bones Stamp set and die set and a MS edge punch.
Another Halloween has come and gone...must start thinking of what I'll make next year.  Enjoy the weekend everyone.
