A Friend is A Gift One Gives Oneself

What a perfect saying! I have truly enjoyed all the friendships I have made online with fellow crafters. I wish we could all meet up somewhere and have a good laugh (and cry!). But for now, we must just accept the cyber friendship and know that it truly is a real friendship. For one of my February SWAPS with the CraftyCardsCreators yahoo group was simply "FRIENDSHIP". It could be anything so with that I decided to make it fun. I went to Michaels and started shopping! I found a cute "Friends" stamp  and thought that it would be perfect for this. The stamp had butterflies on it and butterflies seem to be all the rage lately (well, at least for me, LOL) so I tried to make it a butterfly theme gift package! I etched "friends" on a glass jar and filled the jar with some crafting goodies: the stamp, some bling, a cute butterfly votive and some flowers.  I also made a card for this SWAP.  I had the cutest Tilda image, Tilda wants a hug and thought this was the perfect image for a friendship card.  I had found a cute Friends saying and used that for the inside sentiment:
"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our spirit has trouble remembering how to fly"
Kathy received the package so I thought it would be OK to post it now (wanted it to be a surprise for her). On the card, I spritzed it with Perfect Pearls, but I think I went overboard with it...lesson learned - only 1 spritz is needed!!!! (is spritz a word?)

And here is a picture of the gift. However, I'm not sure how much the etching on the jar shows up in the picture???
I hope everyone is enjoying their day! I'm at home watching the ACC tourney today and tomorrow so hopefully I can play in my ARTHaven and get some things done!

That's lovely, Paula! You can see the etching on the glass really well on the photo. Lovely theme of Friendship! I agree with you, I've made such lovely friends online, especially in the crafting community.

Haven't been on your blog recently, and must say I love your paisley background with the palm trees! It's lovely.

Hope you are OK and enjoying life to the full!

Hugs,
Shoshi
