It's Magnolia-licious!

Where does the time go...It's Sunday night already ?! Oh well, I got one more SWAP completed! Now, I have only 4 more projects for some SWAPS to finish for this month...definitely looking like a busy week for me! This card is for my first Magnolia-licious yahoo group "Mingle".  We make a card using a Tilda stamp (of course!) and throw in a few other items (like pre-stamped images, embellies, etc) and send to our SWAP partner.  I guess tomorrow is a holiday, so this doesn't go into the mail until Tuesday but should still reach the recipient by month's end! I really struggled with this card and I'm not sure why.  I spent all day yesterday trying to sketch it out and working on the colors. I didn't get it laid out until this morning (I finally just said ENOUGH!, stop thinking so hard about it and just DO IT!) So this is what I came up with.  A wonderful and creative lady, Ileana, from another one of my yahoo groups recently shared a Doily cut file she had made and as soon as I saw it, I had to have it!  I used it on this card as an accent piece, cut it from PTI's Summer Sunrise cardstock and positioned it behind the image.  I think it really makes this card! (Trust me...without the doily this card was blah!!) I guess in the end, I do like this card, but something isn't "wow-ing" me and I just don't know what it is, maybe the colors??? But hopefully my Mingle-girl will be happy with it.
Let me know what you think! Oh yeah, almost forgot, the purple ribbon is the dyed seam binding that is all the rage these days! It was fun to work with, though I do need some practice with it, but you'll be seeing this on more projects for sure!
Well, hope everyone has s wonderful night and week!

Very nice card - I love the color combo! A low country gal - do you live around Ridgeland ( I probably misspelled that). My husband's family is from Charleston - oh how I love your area - I am particularly fond of shrimp and grits. Your card is delightful and I look forward to seeing you again on your blog!
hugs,
Sandy
