Girls Just Want To Have Fun!

I had a blast this weekend...I was able to play all weekend in "my room"! My DH was away hunting so it was just the girls (me and Mallie!). My To Do List was 4 cards, 1 embroidered hat, and clean house.  So I got 3-1/2" cards done (yeah me!), no embroidery (yet) and house is still a mess!!!! So I'll show you the 3 cards that are complete and hopefully post the 4th tomorrow. OK it has to be done tomorrow because they HAVE to go in the mail on Tuesday :(
The first card was a simple easel, I seem to make this as my go-to card. I changed this several times while putting it together, but in the end I think it's OK. The stamp is from I Brake For Stamps. The humorous seniors line is awesome (I have a few, so you'll be seeing more of them). This was a birthday card for my Dad from Mallie. (and if you don't know or if have forgotten, Mallie is our soon-to-be 3 year beagle, LOL.  But she is our "daughter")

The next card was my first attempt at a "spinner card".  This one is for my niece's 9th birthday (oh how they grow up so fast!).  She is into gymnastics now so I had this idea driving home from work last week - use a spinner card to show a gymnast flipping on some type of apparatus.  I'm not completely thrilled with the way it ended up, but I think she'll like it. But, now I know some things I'll need to tweak before the next spinner card!!  Anyway, I also used the Cri-Kits pens to write the sentiment on the front of the card. OMG, I love the Glitter pens from them - I highly recommend these pens!  I'm not so versed in gymnast lingo so I had to do some googling to find a cute saying.  I thought this one was PERFECT - it seems my niece has quite the attitude lately - oh, and in gymnastics, attitude is some kind of pose, perfect play on words!!

Oh, the third card, I haven't taken the picture of that one yet. It's one I made for my father that will be from me and Jason (DH). I'll have to post that one with the one I'm trying to finish up now. Come back tomorrow and you can see!!
Hope everyone has a great week!
Enjoy!
