Happy Birthday Paiger!

I'm here! I'm actually getting quite a few things done (in between working my patootie off at my day job - or should I say my day/night job, since I work almost as much at night as I do during the day! but that's another story...lol). I have several cards I need to post, somehow I just seem to forget to post them. UGH.  But since I'm here...I'll post one now.  This one was for my niece's birthday in October.  I used a very cute Sassy Cheryl image (i just adore her images!! and you can get them digital or rubber, which makes me like them even more!)
I found THIS tutorial using the Air Dry Clay and decided to try it out.  I colored the clay with the MFT limeade dye ink refill and let it dry overnight, then used a die to cut out the numbers, and voilĂ ....
Of course, I just couldn't send her a simple card, oh no! I had to get creative to package up the gift card...so I decided what about a cupcake! yep, sounded like a good idea to me.  Sooooo, I began to make a cupcake.  I found this particular one over at SVGCuts (swoon, I love them!!), it's from the Happy Birthday to You kit.  I have to say this was one of the hardest thing I have made...ever.  It's not that the file was hard, in fact it's not hard it's just time consuming.  BUT the most important thing of this is the GLUE!!! I tried 2 times and gave up, walked away only to tell myself I will not let this beat me, I can do it, lol.  On my 3rd try I switched glues, and yay!! it worked. When someone tells you the glue really does matter, believe them!!!
It's sized perfectly to hold a gift card! Another view of the cupcake (i fell in love with it once I finally figured out how to do it, lol)
and now the complete package:
That's it for now....hopefully I'll find some time to jump back on here and post pics of some other cards.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

You're one amazing lady !!! This little set is simply adorable ...love the cute little image & that cupcake is just tooooo SWEET !!! Love how bright your pictures are of these creations.
How do you cut an SVG. I JUST BOUGHT a Cameo & have some very cute files that I bought to cut out by hand. My Cameo will cut them out but you have to be smarter than the machine. Once I figure out how to use it to cut those files it will sure make things easier. So many people talk about SVG FILES.. I LOVE them but know there is an easier way than cutting by hand.

You are so talented you cute lady! The cup cake is yummy and so very pretty. Love the flower and bow on top. Your card is excellent and just as cute and happy as it can be. Anyone would love these makes, young or old.
I know the glue is important - in fact I was going to ask on my blog what everyone used. So what glue did you switch to? Love the numbers - you did a good job with that Paula (but you always do a good job with everything!)
Happy Holidays kid!!
