Never Grow Up!

Masculine Cards - ugh! I find them SO hard to make! I don't know why, but they can frustrate me. I have a friend who is having a birthday today and needed to make a card for HIM! I thought and thought and still wasn't sure of what to do. He has a few classic cars so I thought I'd incorporate them (some how) into the card.  SO off I went surfin' the web to find a Plymouth Scamp (a car from the early '70's, I think).  I finally found one that I thought maybe I could use. So I sat down with Inkscape and made a silhouette of it, cut it out and showed it to my DH. Well, I thought it was OK, but he looked at it and said "Really?" and started laughing. OK, so that went into the trash! Off surfin' again......Then I went to sleep.  Finally this morning I had an idea. It is SO far removed from my original idea for the card, but I think it works.  I found this cute digi-stamp from Mo's and well, the rest is below:
Yep, it is completely opposite of what I was planning to do! Then I had to think of a cute saying for the inside of the card...Well, my mind was about done by this time so I had to settle for this:
Hope he likes it!! Thanks for looking! Enjoy!

Still not sure what a scamp car is even though I looked it up, but do think this final creation is perfect. I do so love Mo's images!

This is great!!! I think you have captured the essence of the statement "the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys". I really think this card is just what was needed.

I understand that this wasn't what you were going for but I love the inside sentiment. The colors make it very vibrant.

I like the card a lot.

That card is just adorable. I'm sure your friend is going to love it. It appears to be a card for a child on the outside, but the sentiment on the inside makes it perfect for an adult. You did great with this!
